Designed for heavy-duty applications, the LTHS series of DC Contactors are guaranteed for a very high
number of operations, even under shock and vibration environments. These contactors are part of the
Quick Ship program we have assembled to meet your needs for exceptional product with fast delivery.
LTHS contactors are available as standard for applications ranging from 1000 to 4000V,DC and can
also be used with AC circuits. They are the perfect choice for applications requiring:
n multipolar contactors
n contactors with normally-closed poles
n contactors for AC or DC circuits operating
n contactors with normally-closed and normally-open poles
with a voltage over 1500V
(changeover and field discharge contactors)
n contactors without blow-out coils and
n mechanically latched contactors
arc chutes (type LTHV)
LTHS contactors are equipped with non-direct, magnetic blow-out circuits (in parallel with the main contacts) and are made with a
high number of turns to work efficiently both with high and low currents. Indirect magnetic blow-out systems make the LTHS contactors suitable to operate continuously with high frequency current.
Quality is key in the design and production of the LTHS: Main pole contacts are designed for easy cleaning and replacement with
normal tools. Relative brushing of the contact surfaces provide self-cleaning and low resistance. DC control coils operate without
economy resistors and with wide working range (at least -30% to +30%). The high insulation class of the coil guarantees safe operation to very high ambient temperatures. A ‘varistor’ cuts off peak voltage when the coil is de-energized.
