Mr. Ekarat Kruangpanad
Mr. Ekarat Kruangpanad graduated bachelor degree from Maejo University in Chiang Mai, Thailand in
1998 and then started to work as a trainee at P.T. Joro Ltd, Bandung, Indonesia. After that he was a
farm Manager of a first high quality sweet pepper production with protected culture in Mae Rim,
Chiang Mai, Thailand. In 2000 he was a production Manager of a protected culture farm, GP
Technology Company in Bangkok (A biggest protected culture farm in Thailand in 2000 – 2006). And
in 2006 he joined with Green and Clean Company who started a plant seedling business which have
changed farmer practices in the way of planting. After that he work as a consultant in several
agricultural projects in Thailand and Middle East (Dubai). And in 2011 he have a great opportunity to
work with the international agency, German International Cooperation (GIZ) – ASEAN Bio-control for
sustainable Agri-food system Project. This was ASEAN project and he worked as an advisor
sustainable agriculture and extension which working with representative from all ASEAN Member
states. This project working on harmonization regulation of Bio-control products in ASEAN to
increasing Bio-Control products which registered and applied in this region.
In 2013 he finished a Master of Science program in Agribusiness from Chiang Mai University, Thailand
and continue working in agricultural sector in Chiang Mai, North of Thailand.
He is a General Manager of Rim Ping Organic Farm (Malaiwadee Co., Ltd.) which working on
developing organic value chain in Chiang Mai for the company and will initiate a group of farmer who
interesting in organic agriculture and will transfer appropriate technologies to strengthen them to
become a sustainable social enterprise in near future.
He is an invited lecturer of vegetable technology division, horticultural department, agricultural
production faculty, Maejo University, Chiang Mai.
He is a curriculum development committee of Organic Farming division, Horticultural department,
Maejo University, Chiang Mai.
