We also make provision at each centre for a

you can still drop-in and use our computers.
The drop-in rooms will not always have a Tutor

you may need to free phone your Tutor. Again,
you will be advised at the time of enrolment if this
applies to your course.
In addition to receiving the National qualification, many of
our courses offer students the opportunity to also gain an

Travel & Tourism – Virgin Atlantic / GTMC
If you have enrolled in a course that offers an International

Framework assessment is about achieving standards
rather than performance in a set task or over a whole
course, so evidence can be collected from a variety of
sources. Some evidence may come from formal tests and
tasks while other evidence may come from ongoing work
or learning activities. Some students may be assessed on
the basis of attested prior performance, using evidence
that is brought with them from previous jobs for example.
Others may be assessed on the spot without completing a
course of learning.
In most cases, many may be assessed by a combination
of the two: evidence the student brings with them is taken
into account but further assessment tasks may be needed
to cover all the skills and knowledge required. Some
students may be required to undertake further learning
and assessment in order to complete a qualification.
Any student wishing to apply for Recognition of Prior
Learning must advise the Course Advisor at the time of
enrolment. The Course Advisor will guide the student
through the Credit Recognition Process.
