ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
In consideration of the services provided by UXU Ranch, together with its officers, agents, employees, stockholders and
all other persons or entities associated with UXU Ranch, and as an express condition of participation in the activities
provided by UXU Ranch, including, but not limited to, guided horseback and pack trips, I agree to acknowledge as
follows:
Although UXU Ranch has taken reasonable steps to provide me and my family with appropriate equipment and guides, I
am fully aware and acknowledge that horseback riding are inherently dangerous and risky activities and that I have been
fully informed of the inherent risks and dangers of such activities. I understand that engaging in horseback riding
involves inherent risks, hazards and dangers that may result in severe personal injury, incapacity, and/or death to me
and others. I understand and acknowledge that SOME, although not all of the inherent risks, hazards and dangers of
horseback riding include:
That riding and handling of a horse involves a risk of physical injury, incapacity and/or death, and that a horse,
irrespective of its training and usual past behavior and characteristics may act or react unpredictably based upon instinct
or fright;
That changing weather conditions: high altitude sickness; becoming lost or separated from others; falling off a horse;
being stepped on or run over by a horse; being charged or attacked by wild animals; and bumping into manmade or
natural objects may occur and may result in severe personal injury, incapacity and/or death to me and others;
That falls and collisions with trees, logs, rocks, other people, horses and other objects while horseback riding, hiking or
hunting are common and can result in severe personal injury, incapacity and/or death to me and others;
That there is a risk of vehicular accidents and/or collisions while being transported in an UXU Ranch vehicle that may
result in severe personal injury, drowning, incapacity and/or death to me and others;
That there is a risk of mechanical failure of equipment, including but not limited to communication devices, saddles,
reins, stirrups, cinches that may result in severe personal injury, drowning, incapacity and/or death to myself and others;
I understand that communication in the area where UXU Ranch provides its services is always difficult and that in the
event of an accident or injury, rescue and medical treatment may be delayed indefinitely.
I acknowledge that the staff of the UXU Ranch has been available to me and my family to more fully explain the nature
of the physical demands of and the inherent risks and dangers of horseback riding.
I understand and acknowledge that horseback riding may require a degree a skill and knowledge different from other
activities I have participated in. I certify, however, that I and my family members, including minor children, are fully
capable of participating in said activities.
I assume full responsibility of personal injury and death to myself and to my family members resulting from horseback
riding with UXU Ranch and to others to whom I or my family members cause personal injury or death. I assume full
responsibility for loss or damage to my personal property, personal properties of others, and all expenses, including
medical expenses, that were caused to or by me or members of my family during a horseback riding with UXU Ranch.
This agreement shall be interpreted and governed under Wyoming law and any actions or claims I or my heirs,
successor, or assigns bring against UXU Ranch shall be submitted to the courts of the State of Wyoming and that the
substantive laws of the State of Wyoming shall apply in any such action or claim. I further agree that if any part of this
agreement shall be deemed to be unenforceable, all other parts shall be given full force and effect.
As lawful consideration for being permitted by UXU Ranch to participate in its activities, I do herby RELEASE FROM ANY
LEGAL LIABILITY, AGREE TO DEFEND, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, AND FURTHER AGREE NOT TO SUE, CLAIM
AGAINST, ATTACH THE PROPERTY OF, OR PROSECUTE UXU RANCH, HIS AGENTS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND
STOCKHOLDERS, for any injury or death caused by or resulting from horseback riding with the UXU Ranch, whether or
not such injury or death was caused by UXU Ranch’s negligence, my or my family’s negligence, from another horseback
rider, or from any other cause.
I have carefully read, clearly understand and accept the terms and conditions stated herein and acknowledge that this
agreement shall be binding upon myself, my heirs, my assigns, my personal representative and estate for all members of
my family, including minor children. I further state that I am lawful age and legally competent and agree to abide by the
terms set forth herein.

Participant Under 18 Years of Age: In signing this agreement on behalf of a minor (less than 18 years of age) (child), I
represent that I am the parent and/or legal guardian of such Child. I acknowledge and agree that I have read the above
agreement, and that by signing this agreement on behalf of Child, I and Child agree to be bound by its terms. I further
understand and agree that it is my responsibility to fully inform UXU Ranch of any special needs Child may have.
