The Streamlight TLR-2 HLG Mounted Tactical Flashlight with green laser was the first laser/light
combo for a pistol that this Officer has used, and it left this Officer very impressed. I used it on a Sig
Sauer P229. It easily attaches to the rails and comes with the hardware to fit most popular gun brands.
The ease of use couldn't be any better. Using a thumbs forward shooting grip, the thumb of the support
hand (left or right) can easily index and operate a rocker switch on the light. Toggle in one direction and
you have burst mode until you release it. Toggle in the other direction and you can lock it on.
Underneath the light, in line with the trigger guard is a three position switch, also accessible from the
shooting grip. This gives you your choice of output mode. You can select from laser only, light only or
both laser and light. The light was very bright, brighter than my current hand held flashlight. The laser
was equally impressive. Having only used a red laser in the past, the green laser on this device was just
as sharp and showed up even better on surfaces regardless of lighting conditions. The only thing I was
unable to get a good test on was the battery life. I never saw any diminishing in the output, but I was not
able to test it for an extended period of time. This Officer would recommend this product to anyone
interested in a pistol mounted light and laser.

The Streamlight TLR-2 HL G is a rail mounted weapon light that can fit on a variety of handguns with
rails. I placed mine on my duty weapon, which is a Glock 22, for review. This is the newest light in the
Streamlight rail mounted light options. The light produces a huge 720 lumens and also comes with a
green laser. It comes with a three mode switch, which can be reached while attached to your weapon,
which has laser, laser/light and light only combos. If you tap the on/off switch twice, the light also has a
strobe function. The light uses two CR123 batteries and had about a 1.5 hour continuous run time with
the light/laser on. The Streamlight TLR comes in an aluminum case with black finish. The attached laser
is made of high impact polymer. The laser also comes with adjusting screws for windage and elevation.
I tested this product on my handgun with approximately 200 rounds of 40 caliber ammo. The light never
malfunctioned or turned off during firing. I also had the same outcome with the laser. The light is very
bright and the green laser can be seen at a very far distance. The on/off switch is also easy to reach and
operate with either the trigger finger or the reaction hand. I would highly recommend this light/laser
combo as it is of a very high quality and stands above other rail mounted lights I have tested.
