DESCRIPTION
The Sure-Lites Pinnacle Family of Die Cast Aluminum Exits combines
strength, durability and aesthetics. The fully recessed CAR Series offers a
very clean unobtrusive look. The die cast faceplate is offered in four
finishes.

Lens
CAR Series Exit lenses are available in two
styles: Stencil Face: Brushed aluminum, White,
Black, or Bronze cast aluminum with NFPA 101
compliant knockout chevrons. Red or green
glass filled polyester diffuser. Open Face:
Brushed aluminum, White, Black or Bronze cast
aluminum with NFPA 101 compliant knockout
chevrons. White silkscreened polyester lens.

Rough-In Housing
Rough-in housing is supplied for recessed
mounting. Housing can be mounted in 2 x 4
construction. Hanger bars are supplied standard
for mounting to wall studs.
"2C" Option
All of the standard AC Only CAR Series exits
using incandescent and fluorescent lamps have
been designed with the lamps on separate AC
circuits. However, only certain standard
fluorescent exits have the ability to operate the
exit per the requirements of UL 924 when
connected simultaneously to both normal and
emergency power circuits (UL Category FTBR Emergency Lighting and Power Equipment ).
These exits are:

and workmanship (excluding lamps).

CAR4100XXG, GW Series
All other standard AC Only CAR Series Exits are
intended to be connected to a single source of
power which meets the requirements of UL 924
and is UL Listed in Category FWBO - Exit
Fixtures. The “2C” Option is a factory assembly
change which alters the standard CAR Series
Exit such that it complies with and is UL Listed
under the FTBR Category. This option need only
be specified with standard CAR Series Exits
which are intended to be connected
simultaneously to normal and emergency
power circuits (FTBR applications). Table 1
below shows the “2C” Option configurations.
