May 15 - 20, 2016 | Hilton Ocala, Ocala FL Co-Sponsored by the Florida Propane Gas Association and Bureau of Standards, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. message from fpga’s president Propane gas safety and education is a high priority of the Florida Propane Gas Association (FPGA). For over 30 years the FPGA Safety and Education Committee and the Bureau of Standards have joined together to sponsor a highly successful week-long safety school for the training and education of propane gas industry employees from all across Florida, the Southeast and other countries. This program is nationally recognized as one of the best week-long comprehensive training classes. The FPGA Safety and Education Committee has updated and revised an already excellent program for this year’s safety school. A broad range of safety operations will be covered by a select group of veteran instructors from the industry and the Bureau of Standards. Whether you’re an owner, supervisor, manager, service technician, bulk truck driver, dispenser operator or office personnel, this program will enhance your safety knowledge and prove beneficial to your company’s longterm safety program. For all current LP gas qualifiers, this program offers an extra value by giving you the opportunity to earn up 30 state-required continuing education credits. The State of Florida 601qualification examination will be administered on Friday for those that need the 601 exam certification. Passing this exam will allow employees to meet the requirements of Chapter 527, Florida Statutes, as an LP gas qualifier under Florida law. After successfully passing the examination, qualifier cards will be issued to each student by the Bureau of Standards. In addition, certificates of training will be issued to all students. I encourage propane gas companies, equipment dealers, equipment installers, service companies and related propane gas operations to send as many of their employees to this safety school as possible. There is not a better value for your company training dollars anywhere.
