Apprenticeship Available: TEF Maintenance Technician Apprentice Job Title: TEF Maintenance Technician Apprentice Location: Warndon, Worcester As a member of our Maintenance team our Apprentices have the following responsibilities: Matt Tivnan Carry out preventative maintenance activities. Be an active team member in development of TPM schedules. Effective Fault diagnosis and repair of machines and equipment. Support Continuous improvement within Manufacturing. Maintenance Technician Apprentice I started my apprenticeship at Worcester Bosch in 2011 and spent the first year 4 days a week at Worcester group Training Association (WGTA) where I was introduced to the Key elements of Maintenance Engineering and completed my NVQ level 2 with the following units: TEF Maintenance Department: The Maintenance department is responsible for the support of Manufacturing, specifically tasked with ensuring that equipment is always available when needed. This means that the machinery needs to be kept well maintained, ideally to prevent it from breaking down, but in some instances to repair it once it has failed. We recognise the importance of a skilled workforce, which means people with a strong technical understanding and ability. It is for this reason that we develop Apprentices into our company and support them as they undergo their formal training. We are able to give students the benefit of our knowledge and experience, as well as practical involvement within a modern manufacturing environment. In turn, we get the benefit of eager and committed young people joining our business to support our future development and growth. From year 2 I’m based in the Maintenance Department where I’m mentored by skilled technicians and work alongside other Apprentices, my role consists of planned maintenance tasks and reacting to equipment breakdowns. Every day here at Worcester there are new challenges and I look forward to my future here at Worcester Bosch.
