Summary
We are seeking an Insurance Operations Analyst - Surety for our New York, NY office. The Operations
Analyst will work primarily with the Surety Underwriting team and will be responsible for assisting The
Surety Operations Manager with Control Management Enhancement, Automation of key tasks and
Forms Management. A major component of the role will be to liaise with internal departments to
streamline, document and build control around key tasks.
Responsibilities
• Report to the Surety Operations Manager responsible for assisting with Control Management
Enhancement, Automation of key tasks and Forms Management.
• Liaise with Internal Departments as needed to streamline, document and build controls around
key tasks. Internal Departments include: Primary Surety Underwriting Team, Operations,
Compliance, Legal, Claims and Finance
• Assist with Key SOX Control management
• Quarterly Bond-Pro to Genius Rec
• Bond-Pro to Genius GEI Failures
• Assist with streamlining processes, documentation & training as needed
• End to End Underwriting Workflow including Account Submissions
• Bond Forms Management & Rate Filing (tracking & system updates)
• Billings & Bond-Pro Feed/Import Management
• Onboarding & Evaluation of Agents
• Status Reporting, Servicing & Formal Closeout Process
• Collateral Management & Treasury Reporting
• Data Integrity – Cleanup efforts & Collection of Aged Balances
• Assist in enhancing Reporting Capabilities out of Source Systems (BP & Genius)
• Work closely with the Bond-Pro Vendor / PMO / IT for system defects, enhancements, QA, UAT
& Production efforts for proper development & sign-off.
• Assist with ImageRight Integration
• Some travel will be required
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree with advanced insurance study preferred
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience
• 3+ years of experience in Commercial Property and/or Casualty Insurance.
• 3+ years of experience with insurance operating systems and service support, for example:
rating, coding, and issuance, recording and tracking policies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proactive, independent worker with strong time management, problem solving and analytical
skills
• Must be able to handle multiple priorities and work with limited direct supervision.
