Qualifications Program Qualifications Master's Those who have got (or are to get) a bachelor's degree (But those who are to acquire degrees will be confined to those who will earn degrees by August 2015) Program ※ Those who apply for Master's Program are able to apply regardless of one's undergraduate major. Those who have acquired (or are to acquire) a master's degree (But those who Doctoral Program are to acquire degrees will be confined to those who will earn degrees by August 2015) ※ Those who apply for Doctoral Program are able to apply regardless of one's master´s course major. 2.3. Eligibility for language proficiency (※Applicants should have one of the following conditions.) 1) Applicants holding an above Grade 3 in TOPIK conducted by the Korea Institute of Curriculum & Evaluation 2) English proficiency tests: Individual with TOEFL PBT 550(CBT 210, iBT 80), IELTS 5.5, TEPS 550 points, or TOEIC 675 points or above 3) At least one year of study in Korean language in Korea. 4) Must graduate in Korean language from an overseas country or Korea. 5) Must hold a letter of recommendation from the dean of the department. 3. Other Information (a) During the selection period, all notices (including announcement of admitted applicants) shall be placed on http://www.mmu.ac.kr/G2/default.aspx (b) The applicant shall be responsible for the disadvantages (including cancellation of admission) caused by missing of required documents, errors or omissions in the documents, indistinct addresses, no response to correspondences, failure to fulfill the requirements indicated in the outlines for applicants, failure to check the list of admitted applicants, failure to execute procedures necessary to enter the country, etc. (c) When an applicant gained admission in an illegal way including forgery or alteration of the documents or errors of translation of the documents and such a fact was found while at school or after graduation, the admission shall be cancelled or the scholarly attainments shall be erased when the applicant graduated. In addition, such an applicant shall be prosecuted in accordance with the applicable laws or regulations when he or she should be held responsible for a criminal case. (d) Scholarship for New Students ① Students who graduated from overseas universities that have an academic exchange agreement with Mokpo Maritime University shall be fully exempt from paying the dues for a school-supporting association. ② Students who graduated from the non-agreement overseas universities shall be partially(half) exempt from dues for a school-supporting association if they fulfill all of the following requirements. - TOIEC score ; above 700, or TOEFL score ; above 520. - GPA above B+. - TOPIK : above Level 3 - Students who passed the review of the graduate school committee (e) When an unsuccessful applicants want to have their original application documents returned, the applicant or an agent should personally visit the Office of Academic Affairs by August 31. 2015(except holidays). (f) Admitted applicants should positively cooperate with the school when the school requests cooperation in relation to their scholastic attainments inquiries. When there is no reply to the inquiry about scholarly attainments, the applicant concerned can be treated as an unsuccessful applicant. (g) Matters not stipulated in the outlines shall comply with the student application procedures and regulations of the university.
