curriculumbasedontheNorthCarolinaStateEssentialStandardsforsecondgrade.
Thiscontentwillbetaughttosecondgradersontheirrotationaldayforthe
computerlab.Becauseofthelearningenvironment,theinstructionwillbe
presentedonline(usingthetechnologywebsiteaccessiblethrough
dcescomplab.weebly.com).Thisinstructionwilltakeplaceasasupplemental
activityandlessontotheclassroomlessonsthatweretaughttheweekbefore.
TargetLearners-ThetargetlearnerswillbesecondgradestudentsatDavidCox
RoadElementaryschool.Astheirtechnologyfacilitator,Iwillbeabletopresentthe
contenttotheentiresecondgrade(throughouttheweekofspecialsrotations).

introducedtothemthepreviousweek.Theoutcomeofthisinstructionalcontent

technologyhomepagewebsiteforeaseofaccesstostudents.Thiswebsitehasbeen
constructedforallgradelevels(Kindergarten–fifth)andthestudentshavebeen
usingitforinstructionalactivitiesandlinkswhentheycomeintothecomputerlab
eachweek.Becauseofthis,studentsarefamiliarwiththeprocessofaccessingtheir
assignmentsandthedigitalresourcesforthesciencecontentwillbeeasilyplacedin
thesecondgradetab.ThebenefitsofcreatingaCBIwiththesciencecontentfor
secondgradestudentswillbethattheyarereceivingsupplementalinstructionas
wellaspracticeusingtechnologytobecomebetterinformedonthistopic.Usingthe
CBIasareviewwillhelpthemastheytaketheirendassessmentonthe2.P.1.1
sciencecontent.
