The Virginia Beach Landfill and Resource
Recovery Center offers a wide range of
services for responsible disposal. The facility is
a valuable asset to the residents of Virginia
Beach where professional staff take great
pride in offering quality services. They follow
stringent environmental standards set by the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and
the Virginia Department of Environmental
Quality (DEQ). All items accepted by the
facility must meet the DEQ and City standards.
Rethink
Landfilling is the end of the road. Can your
discards be donated or recycled? Before
landfilling your discards forever, remember that
they are a resource that may still have value.
Consider donating gently used items that may
still be of use to someone. Recycle what can be
recycled, even beyond what can go in your blue
cart. If your discards have no possible further use,
please practice proper disposal, especially with
potentially hazardous materials.
