Objectives : JAT provides investigators working in fields related to atherosclerosis and thrombosis with an added opportunity to publish their studies in a major international publication. JAT also aims to provide these investigators with up-to-date information drawn from many disciplines and representing a wide range of approaches. To promote communication among laboratories working in different fields, JAT will not limit the acceptance of papers to members of the Japan Atherosclerosis Society and the Asian-Pacific Society of Atherosclerosis and Vascular Diseases. Scope : JAT contains original articles, reviews, case reports, state-of-the-art minireview, symposium and workshop proceedings, letterts to the editor, and information on meetings or conferences related to Atherosclerosis and thrombosis and their risk factors. JAT further covers disciplines that are related to Atherosclerosis and thrombosis, including genetics, cell or molecular biology, Biochemistry, metabolic kinetics, physiology, morphology, pathology, nutrition, clinical investigations, epidemiology, and intervention trials. Organization : JAT mainly consists of original articles that are published after careful review by at least two reviewers on the editorial board or by one reviewer on the board and another suggested by the author on submission. JAT also contains a review article on timely and important issues together with a comprehensive list of the related literature. JAT will accept letters to the editor on some critical issues to be rapidly reported or comments to be made on articles reported in JAT.
