EET WEBSITE GENERAL INFORMATION 1. What is EET? The EET is an exit test which measures graduating students' English language proficiency. The EET comprises writing and speaking components. Click HERE for the sample questions of EET Writing and Speaking. 2. What is the EET for? The EET will enable prospective employers to gauge students' English proficiency level for the workplace. 3. Why is the EET compulsory for UiTM students? The EET is an exit requirement (Academic Regulation 2015, para 2.28) for graduating students. In other words, students must sit for the EET in order to graduate. 4. When do students take the EET? Students take the EET in their final year after they have completed and passed all the university English language courses stipulated in their study plan. The EET is administered once every semester. Students need to refer to the Academic Calendar for the dates of the test. 5. How do students register? Students register via the Student Portal within the add/drop course period as stipulated in the Academic Calendar. Issues relating to registration should be referred to the respective faculties. 6. How much is the fee? The fee is RM30.00 per registration. 7. What happens if students miss the test? Students must contact their respective faculties within 24 hours for the next course of action. EET RESULTS 8. When will students receive their EET results? Students will receive their results in the following semester. 9. How will the EET results be presented? Students will receive a certificate which will show their levels of attainment for Speaking and Writing. The levels range from A1 (Basic User), A2 (Basic User), B1 (Independent User), B2 (Independent User), C1 (Proficient User) to C2 (Proficient User). There is no PASS or FAIL in EET. 10. Can students re-sit for the EET if they are not satisfied with their results? Yes. Students can re-sit for the EET but they must register and pay for any subsequent tests.
