The Plush-Shield Protection does a superb job as a defence barrier, however it is not armour plating. It will slow down the absorption of staining liquids or grease, but spills do need to be cleaned up quickly!

Regular use of the leather care products will help maintain your leather product’s appearance and feel and should extend its life. It will also make any warranty cleaning or repairs that may become necessary much easier to perform. The leather care products in the Leather Care Kit and
Waxed/Pull Up Leather Care Kit are not to be used on nubuck or suede leathers.

Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit including 5 Year Leather Product Warranty is subject to the following conditions and exclusions, the Plush-Shield 5 Year Product Warranty (“Warranty”) is as follows in respect of the
Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit (the “Kit”):
BENEFIT STATEMENT AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit includes Leather Protector/Enhancer, Leather Cleaner/Conditioner, Ink Remover, Cleaning
Cloth, and the 5 Year Leather Product Warranty. Plush-Shield Waxed/Pull Up Leather Care Kit includes Leather Balm, Cleaning
Cloth and the 5 Year Leather Product Warranty. 1(a). The Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit including the 5 Year Leather Product
Warranty is only available when you purchase your new leather furniture from Plush. 1(b). The new leather furniture must be delivered to you in a clean (soil free) and undamaged state. The Plush-Shield Leather Protector/Enhancer will have been applied to the furniture prior to you receiving it. In accordance with the instructions for use set out in or on the product packaging you must regularly use the products in the Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit so as not to void your warranty. 1(c). The use of any leather products on the furniture other than the products provided may void this warranty. 1(d). The Plush-Shield Leather
Care Kit is not suitable for Nubuck, Suede and other unfinished leathers and should not be used on those types of leathers.
2. Subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this booklet, the Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit will help protect your leather furniture against: All accidental stains, Accidental damage (including rips, tears, cuts or burns), Human and pet bodily fluid,
Ballpoint pen and lipstick.
3. If you, as the original purchaser, use the Plush-Shield Leather Care Kit to protect, clean and care for your new leather furniture,
Plush-Shield will subject to the terms of this warranty clean, repair or at their discretion replace, any area of the furniture’s leather that is damaged within 5 Years of the date the furniture is purchased by you because of the failure of the Plush-Shield
Leather Care Kit to protect your leather furniture from the matters noted in clause 2. 3(a). The furniture is exclusively used indoors for private and domestic purposes and is not abused or misused (does not apply to commercial purposes such as hotels, rental properties, boarding houses etc.). 3(b). You must promptly attend to any stain or other damage to the leather in accordance with the leather care and cleaning instruction. You may also contact Plush-Shield’s Customer Service for cleaning advice. 3(c). Plush-Shield Customer Service must be notified of a claim under this warranty within 5 days of the stain (if it cannot be removed) or damage occurring to the leather. (Prompt notice is required as the longer a problem is left untreated the harder it is to remove.) You must be able to identify the cause of the stain. If you can not identify the cause of the stain
Plush-Shield’s obligation under this warranty is limited to 1 professional cleaning of the stain and the additional benefits in
Clause 4 below do not apply.
4. If you cannot remove a stain or the leather is otherwise damaged, you should contact Plush-Shield Customer Service in accordance with Clause 3(c) and Plush-Shield will arrange for a leather care technician to visit your home to service the stained or damaged area of the leather at no cost to you during the 5 year warranty period. Should the leather care technician be unable to remove the stain or repair the damaged area Plush-Shield will arrange for the stained or damaged area of leather to be replaced at no cost to you. Even when a replacement of an affected area is undertaken your warranty will remain valid for the remaining term of the warranty. 4(a). If the stain or damage cannot be removed or repaired, Plush-Shield will endeavour to obtain the original leather or similar leather coloured to match the original leather to replace the damaged area.
Plush-Shield cannot guarantee an exact colour match due to variations in dye lots. In these circumstances Plush-Shield’s obligation is to provide the closest possible colour match available at the time.
5. In all cases Plush-Shield’s financial liability under this warranty will be limited to a maximum amount equal to the actual purchase price of the furniture or Plush-Shield’s purchase price whichever is the lesser at which point Plush-Shield’s obligation under this warranty is deemed to be complete. If a total replacement of the furniture is undertaken by Plush-Shield, (at their sole discretion), for whatever reason, the replaced furniture becomes the property of Plush-Shield and the new furniture will not be covered under this warranty. In those circumstances this warranty will come to an end.
WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
Plush-Shield is not responsible for stains or damage to the leather:
1. Caused by, or arising from, an inherent defect in the leather or the furniture or the manufacturing process (including stitching);
2. Caused to the leather prior to or on delivery or during shipment of the furniture;
3. Caused by normal wear and tear, including cracking and peeling, soiling from perspiration, body or hair oils, fading or colour loss, mould and mildew, or resulting in an odour being impregnated in, or emanating from, the leather;
4. In respect of which a claim may be made against an insurance company or against the manufacturer and/or supplier of the furniture;
5. Caused by mishandling, abuse, neglect, or a malicious or deliberate act, whether by human or animal (stains caused by animal bodily fluids allowed) or other agent or by sunlight (including fading), storm and tempest, lightning, fire, flooding, explosion, earthquake, aircraft or other vehicle impact, or by unusual use of the furniture;
6. Resulting from a failure to pre-test the leather with the Plush-Shield leather care products in accordance with the care and cleaning instructions provided. Under no circumstances shall coverage under the warranty extend to any loss or damage to a person or property, direct, consequential or incidental, arising from use of or inability to use the Item; and
7. From dye transfer from furniture accessories and rugs.

Under no circumstances shall coverage extend to any loss or damage to a person or property, direct, consequential or incidental, arising from use of or inability to use the item. The Warranty does not cover defects which are subject to manufacturer’s recall or which are covered under a manufacturer’s program of reimbursement. The Warranty is not a guarantee or promise relating to the nature of the material, workmanship or performance of the items covered by the
Warranty. The Warranty does not exclude or restrict any condition or warranty imposed or implied by any consumer legislation operating in Australia or New Zealand.
