Just been asked to self-isolate and live off campus? Flu Kits: The Health Service has put together some flu kits that contain items the following items: Hand sanitizer Thermometers to check your temperature Ibuprofen or Tylenol Surgical masks Tissues Garbage bag Have a friend pick one up for you at the Health Service. Remember: Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water, fruit juice or other liquid per day when you have the flu. Get plenty of rest. Isolate yourself from others as much as possible (at least 3 feet). Do not go to class, internships, field activities, meetings, athletics or out in public until 24 hrs after your fever is gone. Avoid public transportation if you have to go out. Ask a friend to pick up food and other supplies if needed. Email professors or other people who need to know that you have flu like symptoms. Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath Pain or pressure in the chest or abdomen Sudden dizziness, Confusion Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea Rash, neck pain Painful urination Flu-like symptoms improve but then return with fever and worse cough
