2103-390 Mechanical Engineering Experimentation and Laboratory I Homework #5: Experiment Project 1 2103-390 Mechanical Engineering Experimentation and Laboratory I Homework #5: Experiment Project Instruction In this homework, which is a section effort, you will need to come up with one question that will be answered by an experiment, design your experiment via DRD, conduct the experiment and measurement [at least it should be ST/MS (single test/multiple sample experimental program); you can also do MT/MS if you’d like], conclude your findings, and report your findings as 1) written report (~ 3 pages) in Words file as well as a hardcopy, and 2) oral presentation [PowerPoint presentation, 10 (present) + 5 (Q&A) minutes]. In your report, both written and oral, it is required to have at least the following components: 1. Question / Objective 2. Data Reduction Diagram (DRD) 3. Uncertainty Analysis [at least in the report stage – already have data, but preferably in the design stage too – design and plan the experiment] 4. Graphical Presentation of Results (if possible, preferable) 5. Conclusion Submit the two files 1. Word file for the report, Name your file as 2. 2103-390 - 2009 - Period 6 – Experiment Project - Sec XX.doc, PowerPoint file for the presentation, Name your file as 2103-390 - 2009 - Period 6 – Experiment Project - Sec XX.ppt (or pptx), via email To: Subject: fmeabj@eng.chula.ac.th 2103-390 - 2009 - Period 6 – Experiment Project (Sec XX), [XX = your section number] 3. hardcopy of the report in the box next to ME elevator, all before 4 pm, Monday, July 13, 2009.
