The Reverend Dr. WILLIAM M. CAMPBELL, JR.
As a tool in God's hand, this messenger of God has revived and enlightened
thousands around the world with the eternal message of God's salvation. Born
in the remote town of Milton in eastern Pennsylvania to a Methodist pastor and
his wife, The Reverend Dr. William M. Campbell, Jr., experienced quite a
rich life in the itinerant ministry of Methodism. Having lived in the country of
Bermuda and the states of New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Georgia,
Florida and now Texas, Reverend Campbell brings many colorful and diverse
experiences to the ministry.
Dr. William M. Campbell, Jr. serves as the senior pastor of Anderson Chapel
African Methodist Episcopal Church in Killeen, Texas. There he continues
the work of congregation and community building that began in his first charge
in Dallas, Texas. Teaching also continues to be a focal point in the ministry.
For seven years, the ministry’s daily radio broadcast, The Master’s Touch, reached thousands in
central Texas as well as a global internet audience in countries such as Kuwait, Iraq and other parts of
the world. Pastor C, as he is affectionately called, has led this mission-oriented congregation on
numerous mission trips regionally and globally to places such as New Orleans, Louisiana, and countries
such as Jamaica, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Zambia and Kenya.
He is the chairman of the board of the Richard Allen Community Development Corporation which is
the development arm of the church. The CDC furthers the mission of the church through property
acquisition and development. Two of these properties have become the Mission House - a local social
service agency which provides food, clothing and rental and utility assistance to over 9,000 persons each
year. He is a member of the General Board for the AME Church and also serves as the Vice Chair of
the Global Development Commission of the General Board. He is also the Dean of the Board of
Examiners for the Northwest Texas Annual Conference. Dr. Campbell is an adjunct professor of religion
at Jarvis Christian College in Texas.
He is the founder of Flaming Fire Ministries whose mission is “to evangelize the lost, equip the
believers, empower Kingdom leaders, establish local churches and edify assemblies of Christfollowers.” Since 1978, the Lord has allowed him to “share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through revivals,
crusades, missions, conferences, seminars, books, teaching manuals, electronic media and technological
tools.” He is the author of three books: Born to Dream, More Than A Conqueror, and Take It By
Force. He is a contributing author in Joel Gregory's book: Athens & Oxford Sermons. He also authored
three teaching manuals entitled: Giving-Prayer- Fasting: Three Tenets of the Christian Faith, To Seek
and Save That Which Was Lost and A Messianic Passover Haggadah: Looking at Our Faith Through
the Eyes of Judaism.
He attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and holds an Associate of Arts degree from
Manatee Community College in Bradenton, Florida; a Master of Divinity degree from the George W.
Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University in Waco, Texas; and a Doctor of Ministry degree
from the Drew Theological School of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey. His doctoral thesis was
entitled: “Re-Envisioning the Mission and Vision of Anderson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal
Church.”
