NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The Georgia Department of Transportation is requesting the addition of two projects to
the Transportation Improvement Program FY2015-2018; Project Number 13993, the
Buffalo Creek Bridge Replacement, and Project Number 13745 the MacKay Bridge
Replacement. These projects will also be added or their funding updated in the
Metropolitan Transportation Plan 2040.
The Buffalo Creek Bridge Replacement listing for the TIP FY2015-2018 allocates
$500,000 in Preliminary Engineering funds for 2017. The project listing in the MTP2040
will show $250,000 for Right-of-way funding for 2019 and $2,200,000 for construction in
2020.
The MacKay Bridge Replacement listing for the TIP FY2015-2018 allocates $500,000 in
the Scope phase for 2016 and $1,000,000 for the Preliminary Engineering Phase for
2018. The project listing for the MTP will replace Project Number 7022 and show
$1,000,000 in the Right-of-Way Phase for 2019 and $21,123,886 for construction in
2020.
The project listings will be available for public review and comment from Friday
December 18, 2015 to Tuesday January 19, 2016.
