Medserve’s pad electrodes contain a layer of pure silver (Ag), an extremely conductive metal which sets our electrodes apart. All Medserve’s pad electrodes disperse the electrical current uniformly over the treatment area, eliminating the possibility of “hot spots” in the middle of the electrode or where the wire is placed. The materials used in the construction of other electrodes do not allow for even distribution of the electrical current. PATIENT COMFORT – Not only is the uneven current dispersion (“hot spots”) uncomfortable for the patient, but it may not effectively treat the desired condition of the patient. Medserve’s pad electrodes utilize more of the electrode surface for electrical conductivity than competitive electrodes which results in a more comfortable treatment and lower intensity levels with your stimulation equipment. IMPEDANCE – The average resistance (impedance) to electrical current is a very low 10-25 ohms for the Medserve pad electrodes. Other electrodes tested had a much higher resistance, usually over 150 ohms. Having a lower resistance means more current is passing through to the treatment area – you will notice that you use much less intensity on your stimulator. This leads to a more effective treatment and faster recovery rate for the patient. Lower impedance also means a noticeable increase in battery life, if using portable devices. LEAD WIRES – Pure copper wires with dispersive heads in all of the Medserve pad electrodes also help facilitate even current dispersion. The lead wires fit comfortably together with stimulator lead wires. Extra long 15cm lead wires also help with less restricted movement for the patient while wearing the electrodes. REUSABILITY – Medserve’s pad electrodes are some of the longest lasting electrodes on the market today. The average number of uses will vary widely depending on skin conditions, climate, type of stimulation, and general use and care of the electrodes. Medserve’s pad electrodes use an adhesive tack hydrogel, which, under ideal conditions, has been reported to last up to 20 – 25 applications! Average use is about 15 applications. PRICE – Our electrodes combine all the very best features in an electrode that you desire, while being competitively priced. We at Medserve, believe that your patient and your clinic should have only the best electrode at a most reasonable price. Tel: +44 (01327) 310310 info@medserve -rehab.com www.medserve-rehab.com
