APCON introduces the next generation INTELLAFLEX intelligent network monitoring
switch, delivering up to 2.88 Terabits per second of data throughput among up to
288 non-blocking 10 Gbps Ethernet ports.
The APCON INTELLAFLEX ACI-3288-XR switch offers the broadest range of
advanced network monitoring services, including time stamping, packet
slicing, Multi Stage Filtering, aggregation, data rate conversion, and load
balancing. This switch supports short and long range fiber Ethernet at data
rates from 1 Gbps to 40 Gbps.

The new INTELLAFLEX switch provides simultaneous non-blocking 10G connectivity
for up to 288 ports. Some ports may be configured at 1G to provide support for legacy
monitoring tools. APCON’s Multi Stage Filtering and load balancing features allow you to
prevent oversubscription and dropped packets when reducing data transmission rates.
This switch also supports up to 64 ports of 40G Ethernet connectivity.
Product Description
The INTELLAFLEX switch is an 8RU chassis with a native multi-lane 10G backplane
IntellaFlex
3288-XR
incorporating multiple network processing
units, allowing
switching and network
processing on the backplane. This enables the INTELLAFLEX switch to provide
complete non-blocking access to 288 ports of 10G Ethernet.
This switch chassis meets high availability standards congruent with production
data center requirements through the use of redundant power supplies and
controller cards. APCON’s unique architecture allows configured connections to
be maintained in the absence of any controller card, and for hot-swap of port
boards, controllers, power supplies, and cooling fans.

that provides access to low-latency blade-to-blade communications.
The APCON INTELLAFLEX 3288-XR supports 40G trunking
between chassis to provide leading scalable architecture

The advanced design of the INTELLAFLEX chassis allows for
trunking multiple switches together using 40G connections,
allowing unified monitoring of even the largest data centers.
The INTELLAFLEX switch chassis allows you to simultaneously
connect up to 288 ports all running at full 10G line rate.
Preserve Existing Investments
The INTELLAFLEX chassis supports timing synchronization through
the Network Processing Units (NPU) in the switch backplane.
This APCON INTELLAFLEX intelligent network monitoring switch
preserves current investments in analysis tools as well as
investments in previous generations of APCON hardware by
supporting seamless interaction with existing APCON switches
and allowing you to continue to use legacy 1G analysis tools,
reducing your total cost of ownership.
Multi Stage Filtering Saves CAPEX
By aggregating data inputs from SPAN or Tap sources and employing
APCON’s non-blocking design and APCON’s unique Multi Stage
Filters to refine output on a per-port basis, large data streams can
be refined to provide only those packets of interest to a 1G device.
APCON’s data rate conversion then outputs that data to legacy
tools – saving precious CAPEX dollars on new tool purchases.
