Requirements for a Teaching License:
 Bachelor’s degree in the profession of teaching and
Teaching Diploma.
 One year of experience.
 Recommendation from the relevant Ministry of
Education Inspector.
 Successfully completion of specific professional
courses.
In-service Teacher Training Courses for
CPD of TVET Teachers
 Hundreds of teacher training courses are initiated,
developed and carried out by the TVET inspectors of
the Administration of Science and Technology of
education.
 TVET networks such as ORT, AMAL and AMIT are
developing and delivering professional and updated
teaching and learning methodologies in teacher
training courses.
 The Industrial Association runs special training
programs for “Teacher Training in Industry” which
take place in the Industrial plants.
New Initiative in CPD for TVET of the
Ministry of Education
 210 training hours for each seven - years cycle, which
all TVET teachers and trainers will undergo.
 Project Based Learning methodology will be the
main pedagogy:
* 30 hours – mini projects – level A
* 60 hours – discipline projects – level B
* 90 hours – interdisciplinary projects – Level C
Innovative ICT tools are being integrated in the
pre-service and in-service TVET Teacher Training
Courses
such as:
 Shared Websites.
 Social Networks.
 E-Learning.
 MOOC – Massive Open Online Courses.
 Mobile Learning.

Aim:
Implementation of Innovative and advanced pedagogy
in the school.
Means:
CPD and school based teacher training integrated in
state of the art learning and teaching environments.
Process:
 Mapping pedagogical needs.
 Needs analysis of CPD of the teachers.
 Development of relevant teacher training courses.
 Creating a group pf leaders of teachers.
 Quality assurance and success criteria.
