4Rs of learning
We will look at the skills of resourcefulness, reciprocity, resilience, and
reflectiveness and think about how we can develop and use them so that we can
become more effective learners and members of a community. We will put these
skills into practice when designing and explaining small team games in PE and
Games
In English we will be looking at issues and
dilemmas and writing from different
characters points of view as well as using
descriptions to describe settings or actions.
We will also be writing instructions.
In maths we will be learning about place
value to 1000 and developing formal and
informal methods for recording. We will
recognise number sequences and develop
our understanding when multiplying and
dividing, using our 2x, 5x, 10x, 3x and 4x
tables.
Rights and Responsibilities
We will think about our rights within the
school and class and look at ways in which we
can be effective in the different

OUR VALUE: - FRIENDSHIP
We will study different religions and beliefs to help us to decide for ourselves what is the best
way to live and how we might care for each other.
We will make puppets in DT to help us create a community and think about ways in which they
can work together or resolve friendship issues.
We will use our Music skills to compose the words and music for a song that focuses on being a
good friend.
Our art skills will involve using different materials and media to make skin tones and then
create pictures of ourselves and our friends. By using the portraits of Picasso, we will explore
his ideas and create portraits that show different feelings and the colours associated with
them.
Anti – bullying
We will use stories and pictures to
create drama scenes and think
about the outcomes of events from
different points of view and look at
ways in which they can be resolved.
Our geography work will
focus on the story “ The
Village of Round and Square
Houses” where we will
compare and contrast
different localities and the
different customs and
lifestyles.
