Department Summary
This position is located within Energy Delivery / Gas Asset Management / Metering and Regulation (M&R). Metering and
Regulation (M&R) is responsible for designing and preparing Gas work orders for construction of regulator stations, CI
(commercial industrial) meter, city gates and other capital programs that support the goals and objectives of Gas Asset
Management (GAM).
Job Description/Responsibilities
As an Intern in our Metering and Regulation area, you will provide high quality designs for regulator stations, CI
(Commercial & Industrial) meters, and city gates.
Specifically, you will:
- Review, edit, develop, manage, and interpret documents and drawings utilized for the purposes of maintaining,
constructing, testing, and removing facilities for gas transmission and distribution systems.
- Make design decisions with regard to facilities utilized for gas distribution.
- Consult with supervisors, operators, and engineers to review assigned area needs, discuss problems, prioritize work,
and provide technical expertise.
- Receive reports and correspondence; reviews, processes or; maintains documentation for reference and perform other
related duties as required.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Enrollment in a 2 year associate program in a scientific or technical field. Enrollment in a 4 year technical or scientific
program is also permissible.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, provide appropriate solutions to problems, and make decisions in a
team environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD).

- Aptitude to learn SAP is a must; prior experience a plus.
The following are preferred but not required:
A mechanical aptitude and electrical aptitude.
A high desire to learn about gas metering and regulation.
A high desire to learn about electric instrumentation & controls (EI&C) such as SCADA.
