Installation should be performed by a qualified
electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code
and relevant local codes.
INSTALLATION DIAGRAM
Integral knockouts (2) are provided for
independant mounting of housing. Knockouts
accept 1/4” anchor bolts (bolts by others).
For surface direct entry (code
2) Hydrel provides two 1/2” NPT
openings for conduit connection.
For surfacemounting over
4-0 box (code 1) remove cast
knockouts provided in housings, mount fixture over box,
and connect supply wires.
For surfaces with splic
box (code 3) openings
are 3/4”,NPT - three
places
INSTALLATION DIAGRAM
RECESSED
For recessed direct
entry (code 4) connect
1/2” conduit to housing
and pour concrete.
Wireway cover in
housing provides splice
compartment.
RDE - (DIRECT ENTRY)
RSB - (WITH SPLICE BOX)
Recessed units with
splice box (code 5)
are provided with
three 3/4” NPT openings.

flush 4-0 ox (box by others) by 5/16” bolts
(bolts by others).
