He had his Primary Education in the Local School, at Bhumel, and afterwards nearby Village High School, The Coronation High School, at Uttersanda. He passed his Matriculation examination from the same school in the year 1947 and joined as a teacher, at one of the nearby village Secondary school. In the year 1948, migrated to Masaka, Uganda and joined the Indian Public School, at Masaka, in a teaching job.Left Masaka school in the year 1952 and from October 1952 joined V H Govt. Controlled School, at Iganga, a small village about 25 miles from Jinja, in Uganda. From October 1952 upto August 1962 was in a teaching job at Iganga. Yes, no doubt Iganga was a very small village, but it was on the Jinja Tororo main road. The beauty of this small village was the Mango trees. On both sides of the road Mango trees were planted, with corrugated sheet shops and houses on both the sides of the road. This is Iganga, which looked smarter with green mango trees on both the sides. I especially remember this small lovely village, as I enjoyed the village hospitality and love from the people as well as my students in the school. I got lots of chances to further my education in various subjects, which changed my entire life afterwards. This is due to Iganga only. In the school we had three vacations in a year and I started studying Accountancy and Book-keeping with the help of books from Kampala Municipal Library, who bore both sides postal charges with FREE library services. I studied and mastered in spare hours and school holidays, Book-keeping and Accountancy Elementary and Intermediate single subject examinations passed with distinction from London Chamber of Commerce, London. Also I passed the higher Accountancy examination from London. Side by side I studied and mastered Western Astrology and occult subjects with the help of Kampala Municipal Library books. This was due to lots of holidays in my teaching profession, I was able to master both the most difficult subjects which I mastered only with the help of the books and without a teacher, say GURU. I was the author of "Easy English" Book which was for the Website : www.vedicastrostar.com Primary V and VI students and was published in 1954. I left my most beloved school and most favoured small village of Iganga, which gave me a great success, love from my students and village most friendly people, and started my own Nile Commercial Institute, at Jinja in August 1962, teaching various commercial subjects as Typewriting, shorthand, Accounts, Salesmanship and Business Organisation. I always like teaching as I am a born teacher and still teaching. I published J S II Examination Question Papers with full solutions in English, Mathematics, History Geography, 25 Tests in Mathematics and Compositions and Comprehensions which were sold like hot cakes in the market. Email : pateljyotishi@yahoo.com \ In the year 1965 I went to India, and started Nile Commercial Institute, at Nadiad which is about six to seven Kilometeres from my own village Bhumel in March 1965, teaching various commercial subjects. I was running in between Nadiad and Jinja, Uganda when in the year 1968 I all of a sudden joined bandwagon of people and migrated to London, England on 26th February 1968, at the time of Kenya Exodus, before the new Immigration laws were to take place on 1st of March 1968. This is a great turning point of my life. New country, new people and new environment. Well I jumped into Astrology and started its practice professionally. During the teaching years I mastered Vedic Astrology also. As my Nadiad Institute was still running, I travelled to India very often. I was the co-editor of Gujarati Astrological monthly publishing from Ahmedabad. I founded and established Astrological Societies and organisations in Gujarat, India and in foreign countries, like U. K. I appeared on television in U.K. as well as in Mauritius. I am an author of "ICHING" Chinese astrological book, published by myself, and introduced for the first time in India, and that is also in Gujarati language.I was also a free lance journalist, numerous articles especially on Political Astrology had been appeared in various Astrological magazines and newspapers in India and even in U.K., even in Gujarati as well as English. I was running my own astrology column in "Gujarat Samachar" London, from November 1982, Bhavina Bhitarman, regularly every week and was lasted upto 1984. Most of my predictions printed and published in advance were proved to be 100% accurate. The articles appeared were of great personalities, of the world such as Mrs Margaret Thatcher, Srimati Bandarnayake of Sri Lanka, Late Srimati Indira Gandhi of India, Late Sri Zulfikar Ali Bhutto of Pakistan, Late Sri Morarjibhai Desai, General Elections and Janta Party victory in 1977, President Carter of USA, accurate forecasts of General Elections of U.K. in 1979, 1983 and elections of Mauritius in August 1987, Atal Behari Vajpayee as Prime Minister of India in 1997, Prime Ministership to Navaz Sharif of Pakistan (1997) and Bill Clinton's sex scandal in 1998. This is my second stage of life, where there was a drastic unexpected change of profession and interest in Vedic Astrology. Started International School of Astrology, teaching Vedic Astrology, in person, through email and Skype all over the world. I am still a teacher, now a teacher of Vedic Astrology. I authored and published myself English and Gujarati astrological books on Vedic Astrology. Also I started free astrology learning classes in Nadiad in 1975 through my astrological society and still there are many FREE classes in Gujarat. I published "Hindu Vedic Astrology" A4 size, 4 pages, English bimonthly Magazine from 1994 and was stopped in 2002. Also I published "Jyotish Darshan" A4 size, 4 pages Gujarati astrological magazine in 1995 which was stopped in 2002. Both English as well as Gujarati magazines were distributed FREE throughout the world. Dr P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) 8 Cecil Avenue, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 7ED, U.K. \ PREFACE of Manual of Hindu Vedic ASTROLOGY After a resounding success in the three "A" continents (Asia, Africa, America) and Europe with his book "Beginner's Course in Hindu Astrology", Jyotishi Anand alias Dr. P A Patel has come up with yet another gem of a book "Manual of Hindu Vedic Astrology". Having aroused the curiosity and appetite in the subject of Vedic Hindu Astrology, he is leading the beginner into higher regions of the vast empire of Hindu Vedic Astrology. One never gets pearls in shallow waters but has to dive deep to get the pearl of knowledge. There are very few such books in English on the market for people who are interested to know about Hindu Vedic Astrology. The beginner's course tries to give basic knowledge on the subject and covers most of the topics very well. The novice has learnt from the first book all about planets, houses of zodiac, even charting and interpreting horoscopes and has checked his interpretation skills against some horoscopes of great personalities of the world. But as our novice goes deeper into the subject and starts to apply his skills practically, he seeks answers to more questions and problems and who is in a best position to whet the students appetite than the Guru who initiated him into the realm of Astrology? The present book treats all these subjects in greater detail, and also covers some new fields which are must for a practising astrologer or an amateur. These fields include summer time, Ayanamsha, Astakvarga, divisional charts etc. Also our practising astrologer (who was only a beginner with the first book) equipped with this manual will now be fully conversant with in-depth knowledge of planets in GocharWebsite : www.vedicastrostar.com transit, totally familiar with the use of Mantras, Yantras, and Gems in all advising, consulting, teaching, and living astrology which he has done for the past more than 45 years relentlessly. Besides the above two books in English, he has written "Selected Astrological Articles - Hindu Vedic Astrology". He has been an editor of the bi-monthly "Hindu Vedic Astrology" (in English) and "Jyotish Darshan" in Gujarati wherein he has served Astrology by profuse writing, research, encouragement to students and amateurs of Astrology. He has also written good many books on Astrology in his mother-tongue Gujarati and even a book on Itching-Chinese Astrology as far back as 1977. He is a founder and President of Hindu Astrological Society, U.K. (1982), founder of Astrological Research Centre, India,Federation of International Vedic Astrologers, U.K. and India, Nadiad Astrological Society, Santram Astrological Society, Nadiad, and many more organisations in India, Europe and last but not the least he is a member of American Federation of Astrologers, Inc, USA. His articles are reprinted in "Today's Astrologer" of AFA. His Sadhana and devotion for astrology has solid foundation of educationalism. He was a founder director and Principal of Nile Commercial Institute in Uganda, East Africa and Nadiad, Gujarat, in India. He taught commerce, accounting, typing and allied subjects. He was a torch bearer to bring education and knowledge to the society he belonged to, in Africa, India and the U.K. His first book "Easy English" (1954) was for the students in Uganda. Also he wrote more education books on various subjects for the students of Uganda. This book "Manual of Hindu Vedic Astrology" will be useful both to students and the professionals to learn or to use as a reference book and a precious one to adorn the shelves of library everywhere in the world. Patel (Jyotishi Anand) (Founded by P A Patel in 1982) Vice-President: : Dr. Manilal Patel o Indravadanbhai Patel General Secretary : Ms Bina Khetia (Shastri) 8 CECIL AVENUE, WEMBLEY, MIDDLESEX, HA9 7ED, U.K Telephone: 020-8903-6784 ABOUT THE ORGANISATION "Hindu Astrological Society UK", was founded by Dr. P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand), a well-known and distinguished astrologer and Editor of "Hindu Vedic Astrology" (English) and "Jyotish Darshan" in Gujarati, on 5th December 1982 at 10-50 am, at Wembley, London. in England in the presence of interested friends, well wishers and distinguished personalities. From the beginning "Hindu Astrological Society, UK was very active. From 1982 to 1988, the organisation was very busy having many astrological discourses and discussions. The reports of such seminars and their activities were published in local newspapers. In those years general pubic too, gave their heartiest support to such astrological meetings, seminars, and conferences, which were highly successful and attracted people from all walks of life. those were the hay days of our society. Afterwards for some years due to unsween circumstances, heavy work load, and absence of man power, the activities of the society were slowed down due to unseen circumstances. Again it resumed its activities in 1990 and slowly but steadily it is increasing its astrological activities. 1990 was an important year, as with the help of his friends Dr P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) published the FIRST ISSUE of "Vedic Astrology" which was the first and the last issue. Due to some reasons, the activities were blocked and again in 1994, Dr. P. A. Patel (Jytoishi Anand) published Vedic astrological magazine "Hindu Vedic Astrology", which was distributed FREE throughtout the world. In 1995 "Jyotish darshan" a Gujarati Hindu astrological magazine was launched, in the equal footing of the English magazine and is distributed FREE to interested readers. Both the bi-monthly magazines are printed in India also and distributed FREE. The important feature of this Organisation is its financial matters. Start from the beginning upto now, no fees have been collected nor any donations accepted so far. This is the reason why the activities of the society is limited. So far all the expenses including the postages, hiring of the halls, entertainments, etc have been met by Promoter (Founder) and President Dr. P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand). So there are no Registration or entry or yearly fees for joining the organisation. To continue its main objects "Hindu Vedic Astrology" and "Jyotish Darshan" bimonthly magazines are regularly published, and distributed FREE throughout UK, India and the world, by the President HASU. Both the magazines are discontinued temporarily due to unseen circumstances. YEARLY AWARDS The Society honours every year those astrologers who have their own specialities in Vedic Astrology and spreading the knowledge, study and message or involved in research work of astrology. They are honoured by awarding "Master of Astrology & Allied Sciences" Diploma Certificates. Yearly awards are declared in "Hindu Vedic Astrology" magazine and Award Certificates are awarded in person at the Seminars or sent directly by Air Mail Post. Dr P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) 8 Cecil Avenue, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 7ED, U.K. \ Manual of Hindu Vedic Astrology - Dr. P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) Email received from a reader from New York Mr David Smith, regardig "Manual of Hindu Vedic Astrology". He expresses his views about the book. (Self Learning Course in Hindu Astrology) pateljyotishi@yahoo.com From:“David Smith”<dav@us.ibm.com> Date : 8 Oct 2004 12:21:15 - -0500 Dear Dr. P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) Ms. Bina Khetia (Shastri) B.Sc I would like to know if this address is current. I am a reader of your book, Manual of Hindu Vedic Astrology (Self Learning Course in Vedic). I must say it is an excellent read as I go through it. I started to also take lessons from someone in order to make sure I was on the right path, since many people tell me that you can’t get everything from books. However, I beg to differ. While reading your book, it is a very comprehensive book, and I have yet to find any other book to match its quality. I do have some questions though, and the reason that I am writing this email, is because I would like to touch base with the author to be sure I am interpreting things correctly. I tried to visit your site www.trimurtivedicjyotish.com, but it is not there. Thus this is my next approach to contacting you. Hopefully someone will respond. My true interWebsite : www.vedicastrostar.com est as a Western Numerologist is relating numbers to Vedic Astrology, and one day practising Mundan political/ weather astrology. It just fascinates me. They tell me that I need to know the foundations of Vedic first. The person that I was beginning to take lessons from was in India. Nice person, however, everything he was sending me via email was already in your book. I had to terminate the relationship becuase your book is not leaving any stone unturned. I would like to correspond with you to keep focused, and I would like to know what I need to do to keep in touch. I am a serious student and author of a self-published numerolgy book. However, once I learn the Vedic science, I am sure I will be able to interrelate it to numerology. That makes the science more powerful and fun to learn and work with. I love to help people, and astrology and mathematics are supreme in learning anything about other things as well as self. Please respond at your earliest conveninece, and once again, I just love your book! :) David Smith, destechpress@ve Dr. P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) 8 Cecil Avenue, Wembley, Middlesex HA9 7ED, U.K. Email : pateljyotishi@yahoo.com \ SELF TEACHING COURSE IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY - ENGLISH SELF TEACHING COURSE IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY - GUJARATI Dr P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) 8 Cecil Avenue, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 7ED, U.K. \ INTERESTED VEDIC ASTROLOGERS IN PREPARATION "JYOTISH YOGA DARSHAN" for planetary combination IN ENGLISH IS UNDER PREPARATION same as MOST POPULAR GUJARATI BOOK "JYOTISH YOGA DARSHAN" by P A Patel (Jyotishi Anand) BOOKS WRITTEN BY DR.
