Details of the chapter activities since its formation:
1. A technical talk on the topic”Optical MEMS by Souvik Das Gupta,VU University,TU
Delft University Netherland on 10-09-2015.
There were around 36 participants attended the talk.
2.. A technical talk on Opto-MEMS and Applications by Dr.Paul Brainard, IIIT ,
India. This talk was conducted on 24-12-2015. More than 2 1 young and aspiring
engineers turned up for the talk.
3. A technical talk on Use of Optical code in ware house and Applications b y
Mr.Balaji Grenzebach Automation, Germany. This talk was conducted on 11-02-2016. More
than 6 5 young and aspiring engineers turned up for the talk.
SPIE SRM Chapter Would condcuting the following activities in future:
1. organize technical lectures on the topic of Introduction on Optics & Photonics Target of
participants: 60 students.
2. Create awareness of Optics to the public and private schools & colleges
Target of audience : more than 500 students and teachers.
3. To visit the photonics lab at IIT Madras
