Installation instructions for PLR-36RGB-150, 120V Reels
WARNING: These products may represent a possible shock or fire hazard if improperly installed or attached in any way.
Products should be installed in accordance with these instructions, current electrical codes and/or the current National
Electric Code (NEC).
WARNING: To avoid electrical shock, disconnect or disable power at the source prior to installation or maintenance.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. All units must be disconnected from power source before installing or servicing in any way.
2. Do not route cords or units through walls, doors, windows or any similar part of a building structure.
3. When using outdoors, all connections and caps should be tightly secured with silicone or the like to
preclude the entrance of water. Controller must be secured in a weatherproof enclosure when used
outdoors.
4. Do not use if there is any damage to the unit or power cord’s insulation. Inspect periodically.
5. Do not submerge in water or liquids. Do not use in the vicinity of standing water or liquids.
6. Secure units using clips and/or track designed for this product. Do not secure unit or its power cord with
staples, nails or
the like that may damage insulation.
7. Do not subject the product to continuous flexing.
8. Do not exceed the maximum run capacity for the controller, used. See table below

*The LED-RGB-3S-1/30-120 controller has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature to
reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extension cord
unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.

Polar RGB
Installation instructions for PLR-36RGB-150, 120V Reels
PLR-36RGB-150 has cut marks every 39” +/- 1/4”. When cutting, take care to cut square and on the line.
CONNECTING ROPE-TO-CONTROLLER ADAPTOR CABLE (requires PLR-RGB-EC adaptor cable):
NOTE: THIS PRODUCT IS POLARIZED (MEANING IT WILL ONLY WORK WHEN POWERED AT THE LIVE END)
1. Determine which end of the Polar RGB is the live end.
2. To prep the end of the Polar RGB, push a single barbed pin of the powerpin connector (turned at a
90˚ angle) into the end of the Polar RGB at each of the four conductor locations sequentially.
3. Rotate powere pin connector to align four pins with four conductors and push powerpin connector
into the end of the Polar RGB.
4. Place shrink tube over live end of the Polar RGB and slide back 4” or

more to allow room to proceed. See Figure 2.
5. Orient powerpin connector with same orientation as holes of
PLR-RGB-EC adaptor cable, as shown in Figure 2, and insert live
end assembly, pushing hard while rocking back and forth to make
a secure connection.
6. Slide end cap completely onto opposite end of the Polar RGB.
7. Attach to power source and verify that connection is secure.
Live end of LED-4WR-RGB
If Polar RGB fails to light completely, check for proper connections,
with
powerpin connector attached
repeating steps 2-4 and re-test. If it still fails to light at all,
check power source.
8. Slide shrink tube over power cord end, overlapping equally over

9. Using a heat gun, carefully apply heat to shrink tube.
Warning: Shrink tube and assembly will be hot!
Allow to cool before handling or mounting.
MOUNTING
Mounting track (PLR-RGB-TRACK-4) and mounting clips
(PLR-RGB-CLIPS) are available. Fifty clips are included with each
reel, however track is sold separately.
