2016-17 Lady Blackhawks Unveiled
Meet and greet this year’s SCC Blackhawk
women’s basketball
team this Friday,
September 30 t h .
They will scrimmage
from 5-6 p.m. at the
Cardinal Stritch
gym, then there will
introductions and supper (for a small fee) at the
Keokuk Elks Club at 6:30 p.m.
Watch Where You’re Parking!
We know the parking lot is crowded most days, and in
bad weather or heat no one
likes a long walk to class;
however, that doesn’t excuse
being a hog or hitting
someone’s car then leaving the
accident scene as happened
last week. Park between the
yellow lines not across them so
you take up more room, and
watch how you back in and out. If you are not
displaying a handicapped parking tag, stay out of
those spots - tickets from the Keokuk Police will result
and perhaps having your vehicle towed. Thanks for
your cooperation.
Sign up for SCC’s Dirty Hawk 5K
Saturday, October 29th

tire ladder, face the fire pit,
and bring your friends to snap
those mud-caked selfies.
Plenty of hoses, high-fives, and fun provided.

Those Unstoppable Olsons!
Congratulations to Barry Olson in keeping the
Olson domination with his Science Trivia win last
week! He correctly answered the question with the
answer that the two elements are found in proteins,
but not in carbohydrates, are nitrogen and sulfur.
Now on to this week’s
question. Our DNA code is
used to make thousands of
proteins, but there are only
20 different kinds of amino
acids in them. Only 2 of
those amino acids contain
sulfur.
What are their
names?
The answer is in your genes so there’s no reason to
fail this.
