Our Mission
The Citadel has created an effective model for enhancing
STEM learning in the region that specifically targets
grades P-20 in-service and pre-service teachers and
students.
Our Strategy
We equip the next generation of scientists, technologists,
engineers, mathematicians, and STEM teachers using:
•21st century skills, relevant content, and supporting
technologies
Our Objectives
Working with P-20 educators and STEM industry
professionals, we work to address the critical needs of
the region. We:
•Invigorate and expand STEM programs
•Offer a robust professional development program for
local and state teachers of the STEM disciplines
•Employ community outreach programs to encourage
and stimulate the interest of underrepresented students
in the STEM disciplines
•Forge partnerships to promote P-20 STEM education
•Support our programming by being a donor, a mentor,
or a volunteer
