Combined Coupling/Decoupling Networks
for Burst and Surge CNI501/CNI 503
The coupling/decoupling network type CNI 501/503 is
used for two different applications:
1.
Coupling of Surge and EFT/burst pulses as per
IEC 61000-4-4 Ed.2 and IEC 61000-4-5 Ed.2 onto
single phase or three-phase power mains supply
lines.
2.
Decoupling of the transient pulses from the
public power mains supply to avoid disturbance of
other equipment connected to the mains.

The CNI 503 A3/A4, CNI 503 B8/B9,CNI 503 A13/A14 and CNI 503 A19/A20 are designed for
direct rack mounting only!
The units can also be used for ac power line surge as per ANSI IEEE C62.41. This must be
indicated on the order sheet.
