DagangNet Xchange Introduction to CUSREP Version: 1.0 Page: 1 of 3 How To Close A VAN After a VAN has been created by the Principal Shipping Agent (PSA) and approved by the Ship Call Number (SCN) Authority, it will be updated and effectively closed when Pilotage finishes recording the actual time for the vessel’s arrival and departure. This Visual Guide provides instructions on how to do so. 1. Click on Vessel Arrival Notifications. 2. You can filter the VAN’s that are displayed by choosing the Status here. 3. To view and close an existing Vessel Arrival Notification listing, click on it’s Job Number. Specify the Initial Berth of vessel. 6. Specify the Initial Berth of vessel. 7. The Pilotage Operator can leave some remarks pertaining to the vessel arrival and then click Submit to complete the VAN process. Once the vessel ATA has been recorded, the VAN will be no longer a pending vessel arrival, but a pending vessel departure. When the vessel actually departs, the Pilotage Operator will once again look for the vessel’s VAN under the Pilotage section to record the ATD (Actual Time of Departure). 8. The ATA information is already listed. 9. Specify the ATA (Actual date and time of vessel’s Arrival) 10. Specify the Initial Berth of vessel. 11. The Pilotage Operator can leave some remarks pertaining to the vessel arrival and then click Submit to complete the VAN process.
