How To Close A VAN
After a VAN has been created by the Principal Shipping Agent (PSA) and approved by the Ship Call Number
(SCN) Authority, it will be updated and effectively closed when Pilotage finishes recording the actual time for the
vessel’s arrival and departure. This Visual Guide provides instructions on how to do so.
1. Click on Vessel Arrival Notifications.
2. You can filter the VAN’s that are displayed by choosing
the Status here.
3. To view and close an existing Vessel Arrival
Notification listing, click on it’s Job Number.
