Red Earths’ Lead Acid based Power+BOS products can accommodate battery sizes from 200Ah through to 1000Ah. To achieve a reasonable service life, batteries should be sized to
match the intended load(kW), and load duration(kWh), within a reasonable depth of discharge(DOD). Depth of discharge has a significant effect on the service life of a Lead Acid
battery. To achieve the battery manufactures stated number of cycles, the batteries must only be discharged to the recommended DOD. The recommended DOD of sealed VRLA
batteries varies between manufactures and the chart above can be used as a guide, along with consultation with Redearth engineering staff.
