Does that sound appealing? Then please continue reading. As e-Mobility provider QWIC and our partners are constantly working on new, advanced components and systems for our e-vehicles. Being our electronics specialist you are responsible for all electronics related development within our 4-person development team. You collaborate with the Product Manager, Designer and Mechanical engineer to develop the next generation advanced e-bike and speed pedelecs. Every e-bike and e-scooter contains electronic components from at least 4 different suppliers. You make sure these suppliers, as well as their products, communicate smoothly, resulting in a powerful, innovative and reliable QWIC drivetrain our customers can rely on and enjoy every day. You can speak the language of engineers, understand their limitations but won’t let suppliers fool you. You know how to inspire, motivate and supervise our partners and stand your ground when needed. What would we like you to do? You will NOT program any chips or layout any PCB’s here, but you will manage all electronics development projects with our European and Asian partners. In the coming years you will transition our complete product portfolio towards the connected-era. You define product specifications and test protocols to ensure product reliability You frequently visit international suppliers and trade shows. You provide the Customer Service team with new product information and enable them to provide excellent technical support to our customers. You monitor the performance of new products during their market introduction. You analyse and recognize potential problems and take care of a quick solution. Requirements You have graduated a Bachelors- or Master’s degree in electronics or similar and understand the vocabulary of hardware- and software engineers. You understand technical limitations but you have a ‘can do’ attitude towards technical challenges. You are familiar with electronic communication protocols (such as CAN-bus and UART). Preferably you have experience with the development of similar systems. If you have a boating license that would be a plus, we are buying a boat for the office. You have excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus). What do we offer?
