Charitable organisations that are registered under the Charities Act 1960, or excepted from registration.
Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCS) registered with the Inland Revenue
The maximum relief a non-profit making organisation can receive is 50% of the rates bill.
Charitable organisations and registered CASCS are granted relief of 80% of the bill.
Ipswich Borough Council has discretion to grant relief of up to the remaining 20% of the rates bill
This application allows the Council to consider granting the additional discretionary relief
