Total Customer Support - Training Overview
YASKAWA Robotics Division - Standard Training Courses
Training is a sound investment that lets you get more out of your robot cell. At our MOTOMAN
robot training centre we blend theory with practice so students can successfully apply their
knowledge in your robotic production system.
Choose from standard courses and tailored training courses specific to your requirements.
Basic Programming (welding or handling) - 4.5 days
Intended for all who need to work with a MOTOMAN welding or handling robot in any capacity. There are
no prerequisites. You will learn how robot programs are constructed, how to create and modify a program
and instructions as well as running a welding job. Safety, crash sensor function, input and output signals,
tool centre point calibration, etc are all included.
Basic Programming (standard) - 3.5 days
This course is aimed towards those who need to work with a MOTOMAN robot in any capacity. There are
no prerequisites. You will learn how programs are constructed, how to create and modify a program and
instructions as well as running of higher management jobs. Safety, crash sensor function, input and output
signals, tool centre point calibration are also included.
Basic Robot Programming & Maintenance - 4.5 days
Intended for electrical or mechanical maintenance personnel or anyone who has additional robot
responsibility. There are no prerequisites. In addition to robot programming knowledge you will learn
about the control system, the mechanical aspects of the robot and how to recover from a collision. You will
also get practical check lists for service and maintenance.
Basic programming Older Control Systems (XRC, NX100) - 4.5 & 3.5 days
This course is intended for everyone who needs to work with an older model MOTOMAN robot. There are
no prerequisites. Select your application: welding/handling (4.5 days) or standard (3.5 days).
Total Customer Support - Training Overview
Advanced Programming - 2 days
A training course for programmers who need to increase their skill level about some of the more advanced
features. This course is tailored towards the customers’ specific requirements for any application. Please
liaise with our Training Officer about the course content you require.
Robot Appreciation - 2 days
A training course for operators and basic programmers who need to gain further knowledge. Topics such
as recovering from collisions, touching up positions etc. Add any special requirements when you book the
course.
Refresher or Conversion - 2 days
A training course for operators and basic programmers who want to refresh their basic knowledge or
existing programmers of older MOTOMAN robot models who will be working with the latest robot
controller. Add any special requirements when you book the course.
Basic Maintenance - 3 days
A training course intended for maintenance personnel without prior robot programming knowledge. You
will learn about fault finding, the robot control system as well as the mechanical aspects of the robot.

Basic Maintenance - 2 days
A training course intended for maintenance personnel with prior programming knowledge. You will learn
about fault finding, the robot control system as well as the mechanical aspects of the robot. Add any
special requirements when you book the course.
