Messiah’s Board of Stewardship Ministry
Prepares stewardship programs for continual year - round implementation that will encourage all members to be fruitful
stewards of the Lord’s gifts; trains members to recognize their spiritual gifts and facilitate the deployment of their gifts in
the congregation and community; analyzes contributions to assure financial stability of the congregation; and prepares an
annual program for obtaining stewardship commitments of time, talents and treasures.

Messiah’s Fellowship Ministry
What excites me about being a part of Messiah’s Fellowship committee is being able to provide wholesome opportunities
for members and their families to “unite among believers” in order to “Make a joyful noise to Him in praise and
prayer.”Serving on the Fellowship committee has allowed me a fun and creative way to use my talents in support of
Messiah’s vision; Impacting the community for Christ by growing families through God's Word. And…has provided
numerous opportunities for me to become involved with outreach and mission support via fundraising and community
events, food drives, and awareness campaigns.Here are a few ways you, too, could get involved.
Helping to organize mid week meals.
Volunteering to prepare a mid week meal.
Volunteering to oversee the kitchen.
Helping to plan fun fellowship events including;
scavenger hunts and road rallies, Progressive dinners, fundraisers, mother/daughter teas, pinewood derby races, golf
tournaments, etc…
Messiah’s Music Ministry
Because of your support, the children of Messiah are learning to use their voices to sing praises. They love singing in
worship and are very excited about this year's Christmas program. The storyline takes them through time as a part of
their church's Christmas basket outreach. To bring that story to life, we are working with Phil Hill to be part of a real food
outreach here in Charlotte. We are also planning on participating in the District Reformation Celebration on the 31st.

Because of your support, the youth of Messiah lead worship once a month. This is a huge responsibility and opportunity.
We had the opportunity to see Matthew West in concert last month - a composer/singer whose songs we have done. A
great inspiration! You will see these youth as future leaders at Messiah or whatever church they eventually move on to.
Because of your support, our handbell choir exists. Although we were gifted with many of the bells, additional bells were
purchased to replace broken ones. Couldn't have done it without you.
Because of your support, our instrumentalists are given the opportunity to grow in their skills while bringing wonderful
sound colors to Messiah's worship.
Because of your support, our Sanctuary Choir and Promise continue to bless Messiah with traditional and contemporary
hymns, anthems and worship songs. When Messiah participates fully in congregational singing - there is no better
Hallelujah.
Because of your support through participation, encouragement, gifts and prayer, Messiah is able to train future music
ministers.

Messiah’s Pre-School Ministry
I wanted to share with you just how positively the Messiah Preschool experience has affected our family. We knew when
we first met you, toured the facility, and met the other Messiah teachers that we had finally found "home" after an
exhaustive search for the "right" preschool. The care, affection, and Christian love shown to our son and to our entire
family have left permanent footprints on our hearts. It has laid the foundation for a continued Christian education for our
son and has cemented relationships within our own Messiah church family, drawing us even closer to Christ!
Thank you for all you have done for our family! You all are a shining example of God's work in action, for we truly saw His
face in you each and every day!

A special thing I remember, clear as it was yesterday, is being busy at the sink doing dishes and Tommy, who was 2 1/2
at the time, coming up to me and pulling on my shirt and telling me, "Mommy, Jesus is our friend!" I knew exactly where
he was learning such valuable information, Messiah Preschool! Thank you for letting me now be a part of a team that
continues to teach the love of Christ so they can share it with others.

Two of our daughters were students at Messiah Lutheran Preschool. Although both girls were more than prepared for life
in a large public school classroom, the biggest benefit they have carried with them is the relationships they have with
former preschool teachers. They are truly thrilled when they see their preschool teachers, and they rush to hug those
teachers whenever and wherever they meet!

At a time when Mamie and I had to find our new "normal" after Lisi died, the preschool was it. Mamie loved her teachers
and classmates and it filled the void left by Lisi and all her therapists and teachers that were in and out of our home every
day. Messiah Preschool bridged the gap for us and filled our days with fun, learning and support.
