R. Frank Nims Middle School
Dear Parents and Community Members:
R. Frank Nims Middle School is privileged to share the School Public Accountability Report for 20142015 school year with our parents and community. This document describes our students’ academic
achievement in reading, writing, mathematics, and science. The report also includes other important
information about Nims, including enrollment, test scores, free and reduced lunch rates, student and staff
attendance, and student discipline incident statistics.
The data is analyzed to plan for increasing teacher effectiveness, improving student performances, and to
provide a climate that is safe and conducive to high quality learning. The data also provides us with
valuable information to use in the development and revision of our School Improvement Plan (SIP).
R. Frank Nims has been identified as a “D” rated school for the 2014-2015 school year. We have a deep
commitment to ensure that students make significant growth in all academic areas. Our approach will be
research based and student-centered. We are determined to make progress to heighten student
achievement levels. Our learning community is prepared to meet the academic needs of all of our
students.
