Reading a Thermometer Display (ºC) Degrees/Units Temperature is measured by degrees in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Thermometers can be set to either. Stick to one type of measurement. Temperatures for storing vaccines are different for Fahrenheit and Celsius. 5. 5 OUT MIN 4. 2 MAX ºC = degrees in Celsius. (Use ºC log.) ºF = degrees in Fahrenheit. A refrigerator is OK at 8.0ºC, but is TOO WARM at 8.1ºC. Settings IN/OUT: Thermometers with this option must be set to “OUT” to measure temperatures inside the storage unit. 5. 5 OUT MIN 4. 2 MAX 6. 1 MIN-RESET LO ALM SET MAX-RESET HI ALM SET MODE RESET/MEMORY CLEAR: Press button after every recording. This clears previous MIN and MAX temperatures and resets them to the same as CURRENT. MIN MIN MODE/ALARM: Refrigerator Press button to see LO and HI alarm settings. Set alarm to trigger when temperature is TOO COLD or TOO WARM. LO Turn alarm on.
