POLYVER SUPER WHITE SPECIAL PRODUCTS 06 SRI 1 POLYVER SUPER WHITE is a high solar reflectance and thermal emittance solvent-based white paint with Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) 106, for the protection of the bitumen polymer membranes. EN 1504-2 Polyglass is a member of the Green Building Council Rev. 1-15 SPECIAL PRODUCTS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION POLYVER SUPER WHITE is a high solar reflectance and thermal emittance white protective solvent-based paint with Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) 106 for the protection of the bitumen polymer membranes achieved with particular synthetic resins, fillers, pigments, anti-mold, anti-algae and various additives which create an elastic film able to follow the small deformations or dilatations. WHERE TO APPLY POLYVER SUPER WHITE is specially designed to protect from U.V. rays talc, sand or self protected bitumen polymer membranes, or unprotected liquid membranes both water or solvent-based, creating a barrier at high reflectance of solar rays guaranteeing a thermal insulation and energy saving. If applied on bituminous membranes with a photovoltaic system, POLYVER SUPER WHITE protects not only the waterproofing system, but it also improves the efficiency of the photovoltaic panels. It can also be applied on concrete, fibrocement, wood and metallic sheets. POLYVER SUPER WHITE reduces the roof temperature on the surface more than 50% if compared to the dark/black roof surface. It also reduces the internal temperature of the building and maintains it constant. Thanks to SRI (Solar Reflectance Index) of 106, using POLYVER SUPER WHITE LEED credits will be obtained for the reduction in the Heat Island Effect. APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND TIPS POLYVER SUPER WHITE is ready for use and it must be strongly mixed before application normally achieved by means of paintbrush, roller, or spray device on dry, clean and free of oil and dust surfaces. Do not apply POLYVER SUPER WHITE in case of coming rain and after its application. For the application on polymer bitumen membranes with granules clean the surface with compressed air to remove the surplus granules. Being a solvent-based product, POLYVER SUPER WHITE must be applied in the open air far from flames or heat sources. Do not use it on newly applied bitumen polymer membranes, because the natural oil trasmigration present in the compound could compromise a perfect film adhesion. We recommend to wait at least 6 months on membranes or bituminous products hot applied and 3 months on bituminous products cold applied. POLYVER SUPER WHITE must be applied in 2 crossed coats; second coat will be applied after the complete drying of the first and in every case not before 24 hours. The consumption depends on the nature and on the porosity of the support, however the average consumption of each coat on bitumen polymer membranes with granules is of 350-450 gr/m2; on bitumen polymer membranes with talc or sand the consumption is of about 200-300 gr/m2 each coat. The product is walkable for maintenance and renovation. Protective paints for bituminous membranes or concrete structures can have some cracks due to the linear thermal dilatation of the surfaces. It is recommended for this reason, to renovate surfaces time to time according to the site of the structure, to the environmental pollution and the surface decay; approximatly every 2-4 years.
