The Entry-level Soundbar example design-1.0 development kit
contains everything required for rapid evaluation and
development of an entry level 2.1 channel Soundbar with
®
SPDIF and wired analogue input, Bluetooth , wireless
Subwoofer and infrared remote control (Bluetooth Low Energy
remote control optionally available).
The kit comprises two example designs:

Soundbar Example Design PCB utilising CSR’s BlueCore
™
CSR8670 device, which features an ultra-low-power DSP and
application processor with embedded flash memory and highperformance stereo codec.
Wireless Subwoofer Example Design PCBs, centred around
CSR’s cost effective, dedicated Subwoofer Bluetooth device;
™
CSRA65700 .
The Entry-level Soundbar example design-1.0 takes advantage
of CSR’s Subwoofer Audio Transfer (SWAT) technology. This
protocol and control mechanism allows the Soundbar and
Subwoofer to establish a high quality low frequency wireless
subwoofer link.
The evaluation experience starts straight out-of-the-box, with
all kit components being pre-configured with default settings.
Customisation of the platform is achieved using CSR’s Audio
Development Kit (ADK) software and configuration tools, which
provide a flexible and powerful development.
