Virtual SC Information http://virtualsc.org General Information ● ● ● ● ● This information is not all inclusive, it is highly recommend that you (and your parent) visit the Virtualsc.org website to find out more detailed information about taking VSC classes. VirtualSC is a supplementary online learning program, sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Education. Courses are free of charge to South Carolina students. The courses are available 24/7 during each semester, so you can access your VirtualSC coursework at a time that fits your schedule. VirtualSC is not a diploma-granting program; credits earned through VirtualSC courses will be recorded on an official transcript by your sponsoring school. Teachers for Virtual SC classes set the pace for courses. Students are expected to complete assignment, work, quizzes and test assigned by the VSC teacher. Students can expect to spend about an hour a day on each VSC course they take, however, this can vary from student to student and course to course. Grades for courses taken on VSC are subject to the South Carolina uniform grading scale policies. If you pass, fail, or withdraw after the drop date, all grades from VSC class(es) will be posted on your high school transcript...no exceptions. Registration Process ● ● ● ● ● Registration for the Fall 2015 Term begins August 26th until September 9th for 11th and 12th graders and September 2nd until September 9th for all grade levels.
