Goodrich Hella Aerospace recently developed an Anti-Collision Light System
based on the latest LED technology.
This offers you the following advantages:

• Less lifetime cycle costs
• Less power consumption
• Less heat
• Less weight
• More lifetime
The special advantages for Airbus
aircraft are:
• Immediate cost saving potential for
the entire Airbus fleet’s strobe lights
• No change of mechanical and
electrical interfaces
This Anti-Collision Light System consists of two synchronized red flashing
lights which are installed on top and the
bottom of the fuselage, the associated
power supplies and the connecting
cables.
The power supplies provide the required electrical energy for the light units.
They have an input for external
dimming of the lights to a level of 15 %
of the nominal light intensity.
The system fullfills all requirements of
FAR § 25.1401 for transport airplanes.

The power supplies of the anti-collision
light system (P/N 8ES 455 012-00 and
8ES 455 567-00) are able to control
an additional aircraft recognition light
system which produces white double
flashes on the wing tips and single
flashes at the tail.
The system consists of 2 wing strobe
lights, a tail strobe light and 3 power
supplies.
