II. ORGANIZATION OF THE ENGINEERING DIVISION
The Engineering Division is composed of three (3) sections, namely:
1. Construction, Planning and Design
This section is primarily tasked with the engineering project management for
Tanauan Water District (TWD), from planning to implementation. Projects are
usually undertaken in-house unless there is no available expertise needed for the
project. In such cases, projects are outsourced subject to procurement policies
and procedures under applicable laws and regulations.
2. Water Quality and Production
This section is primarily concerned with planning, implementation and monitoring
activities to ensure that TWD continues to provide potable water to its customers.
Water quality activities include treatment by chlorination, monitoring and
maintenance of treatment equipment. Meanwhile, water production activities
include pull-out of submersible pumps and motors.
3. Maintenance
This section deals with a wide range of repair and maintenance activities to
ensure that TWD continues to provide water to its customers. The Leak Repair
Teams and Meter Mechanic Teams are deployed daily to answer service
requests from customers (internal and external).
