Background
A number of cars that have developed a pronounced noise in the engine, which is due to pistons having been fitted the wrong way round.
Procedure
• On cars that have been driven 20.000 km or less, the remedial action is to turn the pistons the right way round.
•
On cars that have been driven more than 20.000 km, change the pistons that have been fitted the wrong way round. Check that the
cylinder barrels are not scored or damaged.
