BULLET-STYLE FOOTPEG KIT
General
These footpegs fit all models equipped with male-mount
footpeg supports.

Loosen the adjusting screw (4) on the end of the footpeg to position the footpeg as desired. Torque the
adjusting screw to 21 ft-lbs (29 Nm).
6.
Apply a light application of soapy water to the underside
of the rubber insert.
7.
Slide the rubber insert into the grooves on the footpeg,
then press the end of the footpeg firmly into the rubberinsert lock tab on the end of the footpeg.

Installation

Remove the hardware fastening the stock footpeg to the
motorcycle footpeg support. Save the hardware for
installation.
Remove the stock footpeg and spring washer from the
motorcycle footpeg support. Note the orientation of, and
save, the spring washer for installation.
NOTE
See the Service Parts illustration. When installing the footpeg-support mount (1) on the motorcycle footpeg support,
the rounded edge of the footpeg-support mount must be
positioned upward.
NOTE
See the Service Parts illustration. When replacing the footpeg-support mount (1), either replace the screw (4), or apply
Loctite® 243 (blue) to the threads on the removed screws
before re-installing the screws.

Repeat steps 1 – 7 for the vehicle’s other footpeg.

NOTE
See Figure 1. When installing the spring washer, position
the spring washer with the square edge toward the inside of
the footpeg support.

Slide a new footpeg mount and stock spring washer into
the footpeg support.
Install the new footpeg in reverse order of stock-footpeg
removal. On vehicles using a nut and bolt on the footpeg support, torque the fastener to 19 ft-lbs (26 Nm).
