DESCRIPTION
The Rauland Model ACC1108 is an economical protective enclosure for 8” speaker baffles designed for
convenient recessed installation in new or existing
construction. It is fabricated of heavy-gauge coldrolled steel, welded for exceptional stability.
Interior surfaces are undercoated to prevent
acoustical and mechanical resonances. The enclosure is finished in a rust-retardant gray primer.
The backbox accommodates 8” speaker baffles,
such as the Rauland Model ACC1008. Four 1/2”
(1.27 cm) and 3/4” (1.91 cm) conduit knockouts are
provided as well as Tinnerman clips at each corner.
The backbox measures 9-9/16” (24.28 cm) x 9-9/16”
(24.28 cm) x 3-3/4” (9.52 cm) deep.
DESCRIPTION
The Rauland ACC1109 Speaker Support channel is
a convenient mounting device permitting quick
installation of 8” speaker assemblies in narrow ceiling tiles.
Two ACC1109 support channels provide support
for virtually all backboxes in suspended ceiling construction. Channels are fabricated of steel, galvanized for long-lasting service.
Using the ceiling tile support as an anchor, each
channel provides convenient mounting holes set 4”
apart, to permit quick, easy installation of 8”
speaker assemblies in a space too small to accommodate the Rauland ACC1104 Support Bridge.

SPECIFICATIONS
The Backbox shall be a Rauland Model ACC1108
or approved equal recessed enclosure designed to
accommodate 8” speaker baffles, and particularly
the Rauland ACC1008 vandal-proof baffle. The
backbox shall be constructed of heavy-gauge coldrolled steel and shall be spot-welded for complete
stability, with rust-retardant gray primer finish,
and an interior acoustically treated to prevent
acoustical resonance. Four 1/2” (1.27 cm) and 3/4”
(1.91 cm) conduit knockouts and Tinnerman corner
clips shall be provided. The backbox shall not
exceed 9-9/16” (24.28 cm) x 9-9/16” (24.28 cm) x 33/4” (9.52 cm) deep.
