Education Dunfermline High School ClientFife Council Project Value £34M Service Delivered Cost Consultancy, Partnering Date February 2010 - August 2012 Fife Council Photography Project Synopsis Dunfermline’s Award Winning High School, forms an important part of Fife Council’s Building Fife’s Future Programme. The project, which was the first to be completed using the programme’s Partnering structure, was opened in August 2012, bringing an important educational asset in to use. This state of the art school can accommodate up to 1800 pupils, with facilities including a Sports Hall, two Gymnasia, Dance Studio, Fitness Suite, Drama Studio with Rehearsal Rooms, Purpose Built Teaching Spaces for all subjects, a large Assembly Hall with tiered seating, Cafeteria, Coffee Bar and a modern Library and Resource Centre. As well as extensive new playing fields, 3G/all weather pitches and sustainable technologies such as, a biomass boiler, solar panels and rainwater harvesting. Winner of an RIAS Design Award 2013, this influential new facility offers a great environment and outstanding facilities for the benefit of pupils, teachers and the local community.
