Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
ABOUT THIS COURSE
You learn to work as an apprentice boilermaker and sheet metal worker. You develop skills in metal fabrication, pattern
development, welding, computers in engineering, and robotics. Designed for people already working in the manufacturing or
engineering industry, this course covers competencies in metal fabrication, forging, founding, structural steel erection,
electroplating, metal spinning, metal polishing, sheet metal work, welding and the use of related computer controlled equipment.
This course is ideal if you’re looking to get into a new area of engineering or wanting to upgrade your skills. It is recommended that
you are already employed within a relevant industry, or at least have significant experience as this is available as an apprentice
and non-apprentice course.

ASSESSMENT
The level of competency you develop from your training will be assessed through a combination of practical skills, projects and
theory assessments. Your teachers will provide you with more information on specific requirements at the start of each unit and
they will assist you with any support you may need.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE
Monday to Thursday, 8.30am-4.30pm, day release, block release and a blend of classroom and workplace assessment

If undertaking the apprenticeship version of this course, you must be employed as an apprentice in fabrication.

Full Fee $2,664.00 (Tuition $2,664.00, Materials $0.00)
FEES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The mentioned fees are not inclusive of materials. Materials cost $30 per unit. Given the nature of this qualification, some students
may do differing numbers of units, so an exact figure cannot be given at this point in time.
The student tuition fees published are indicative only and can be subject to change given individual circumstances at the time of
enrolment.
