Batteries
The necessities for every network
The Battery program comprises four different ranges: Excellence, Duration, General and High Rate.
Whether the prime concern is energy density, reliability, cost or a combination of these – there is
always a suitable choice available.
In addition to developing these battery ranges, Emerson Network Power cooperates with several world-leading battery
manufacturers. This unparalleled variety of batteries realizes true customer adaption possibilities. A wide selection of battery racks & cabinets are available, depending on different preferences for layout, seismic shock resistance and height.

The necessities for every network
inverters, single phase & three Phase
Inverters are often the preferred choice for providing reliable AC power for
critical loads, when longer power backup times are needed. The choices available are stand-alone inverters, dedicated inverters and parallel inverters in both
wall- and floor-mounted cabinets. Typical applications are any critical load that
requires a reliable and conditioned AC power supply with a longer backup time
than conventional UPS solutions.
Application: Mission-critical AC supplied loads
Capacity: 1-12 kVA 230VAC (1000 VA model), 4-40 kVA 230 V AC (4000 VA model),
Three phase on request.
Environmental data: CE, IEC/EN 60950-1
Key Features:
Sinusoidal output voltage, compatible
with most AC loads
Hot swap for easy maintenance
Modular
Key Benefits:
Reliable and conditioned power for AC
loads by using the DC supply equipment
Money-saving since existing DC power
backup can be utilized
Uncomplicated maintenance due to the
use of rectifiers and/or batteries of a DC
power plant
AC Power Interface – AVR
AC connected units, such as rectifiers, air conditioning units and
servers will continue operating even during extreme mains voltage variations. Large voltage variations are harmful to most AC
supplied equipment causing component degradation, temporary
or definite shutdown.

Low cost investment protection
Long life design
AC Power Interface The AC power interface product
program is designed to protect the
connected application from harmful
effects, such as hardware faults,
system restarts, errors in databases,
false alarms or other costly
disturbances caused by poor AC
mains quality and/or effects of
lightning.
Used in applications that need
protection against harsh AC
conditions or lightning.

Enables adjustment and/or regulation of the mains
voltage at locations where the connected units have
different input voltages
Key Benefits:
Reduces the cost of on-site service calls and
downtime of critical loads
Less workload related to logistics and purchasing of
AC power interface products since a global operator
can use the same product worldwide

Network Power Enclosures • Integrated Shelters
Integrated outdoor enclosures and shelters are used for a variety of applications
in telecommunications, signaling and data networks, only to mention a few.
These systems are configured differently and are built into either Network Power
Enclosures or Integrated Shelters, depending on the application size, task,
environment and other requirements such as logistics and transportation.
Over the last few years Emerson has built several thousand enclosures and integrated shelters around the world, adding substantial
experience to the long since established telecom, data and network power expertise within the company.

The Network Power
Enclosure Program
A building practice that fits every need
The building practice of Network Power Enclosures is based
on a system of aluminum profiles and corner joints, together
with sandwich panels. Access to the equipment inside is
through a combination of front and/or side access doors and
latches as required. Whatever the needs are – the enclosure to
match them is here.
Complete enclosure flexibility
The Network Power Enclosure offers multidimensional
flexibility in all physical dimensions, visual appearance,
and level of mechanical protection for intrusion, vandalism,
or even bullets. This flexibility secures an optimal solution for
each application.

Network Power Enclosures
BTS Enclosures
The BTS Enclosure is a space-efficient outdoor enclosure
integrated with power, climate and all necessary telecom
infrastructure. Adapted to house one or more indoor
BTSs for GSM/UMTS/CDMA/WCDMA
– from any BTS equipment vendor.
Main Advantages and Benefits:
Integration of indoor BTSs into Emerson’s BTS Enclosure
eliminates the need of specific outdoor BTSs
Allows co-location of different types of BTSs regardless of
equipment vendor or network types
Increases site capacity up to 50% - when using the same footprint as proprietary outdoor enclosures from BTS
equipment vendors
Emerson’s Network Power Enclosures use the same
building blocks, building practice and supply chain process on
all continents – which safeguards homologation consistency
in all markets
Reduced need for new building permits when upgrading
existing sites by adapting the enclosure footprint to an
already available foundation
BTS
Power Enclosures & UPS Enclosures
The Power Enclosure and the UPS Enclosure from Emerson comes
with an integrated power system, batteries and climate system
required to support a new or an extended telecom site.
The Power Enclosure and UPS Enclosure is often used together
with a BTS Shelter to free up space in an existing shelter for
additional Telecom equipment. It is also used for extending
existing enclosure-based sites.
Main Advantages and Benefits:
Facilitates site-specific configurations - thanks to flexibility in
footprint/size, power capacity, backup time, climate control
capacity, and supervision functionalities
Installation of additional power capacity and battery-backup
on existing sites without any risk of jeopardizing the operation of the equipment it is to feed
Frees up floor space in existing shelter sites to house more
telecom equipment
Optimized battery backup-time and lifetime thanks to smart
climate control and reliable hydrogen gas ventilation

The Integrated
Shelter Program
The key is in the Integration
With the distributed architecture of today’s telecom and data
networks, a large portion of the network, both in metropolitan
and rural areas, is installed in outdoor enclosures/cabinets and
shelters. Integrated Shelters from Emerson offer a quick and convenient road to a protected environment, including power supply
and climate control, for the vital electronics at these locations.
Built from the inside out
Based on expertise in all concerned areas, Emerson designs and
builds integrated shelters from the inside out. Subsystems are
selected and dimensioned both to fulfill their particular part of
the task, and to work well together as a united whole. They are
then integrated into a shelter meeting application-specific
requirements.
